Registered since 2003, our childcare department is recognised for providing a high quality child care service including after school club, breakfast club, homework club, casual nursery hours and playgroup. We work in line with the national care standards and our Nursery service is regulated by the Care Inspectorate.
In our childcare area, we aim in providing high quality childcare with a range of play opportunities in safe and secure environment that encourages children to feel positive about themselves where they can learn and develop. We have a newly developed play area and offer a wide range of activities to meet each child’s social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional needs.
Our staff undergo relevant checks and receive development opportunities to become fully qualified and have the required training in line with Care Inspectorate, Cala, Scottish National Resource and SSSC guidelines. Having such a diverse range of staff, we can provide a variety of activities using everyone’s strengths and talents. Our staff strive at all times to create a happy, loving and caring atmosphere.

Under 5 Childcare
We provide full day childcare, funded 1140 hour placements for 2 year olds and funded Nursery placements for 3-4 year olds.
When you register your child for childcare, 1140 hour placement or Nursery placement, they will be treated as individuals and cared for in a stimulating, loving, and safe environment by our amazing Childcare Team.
Enrolment Week is a two week window in February annually – contact us to find out more or attend our open day to find out about our setting.
Casual Hours
We provide Childcare Casual Hours at £5.50 per hour for 2-5 year olds from 07.30am to 17.00pm in our fun, loving, and safe environment by our amazing Childcare Team where all needs are met and children are treated as individuals.
Playgroup
We run a playgroup service from 9.15am – 11.15am for two year old’s Monday to Friday. This popular service is the beginning of your child(s) learning journey.
Our Playgroup boosts early cognitive development, helps fosters social skills, encourages creativity and problem-solving through play and builds a strong foundation for future learning through a range of activities including music, art, play, and outdoor exploring.
Breakfast Club
Open from 7.45am-9.00am Monday to Friday, We operate our breakfast club before the school day. Your child will receive a healthy, hearty breakfast before they are dropped off at school by us before 9am for a fun day of learning at school.
£5 per session
After School Club
Our After School Club runs between 2:30pm-5:00pm and is great for children to come and play until their parents pick them up. We have lots of fun activities available within our childcare area daily. The children also have free flow access to our outdoor area.
Staff will pick up children up after school in their cars and take them back to the centre in their cars. All staff have required business insurance.
£5 for pick-up and first hour, with an added £3 for any additional hours thereafter. If you would like to drop your child off to us for an hour or more, it will be £3 per hour.
Holiday Activities
During the holidays, we offer a Holiday Club for children from primary one to primary seven. We are open over Easter, Summer, October and some in-service days although numbers may be limited on these days due to staff training. We currently do not open over the Christmas holidays, Easter weekend and May day.
We plan a number of activities in the holiday periods both in the centre and the wider community. We try to make the most of the outdoors and good weather when we can and do have some access to a minibus for outings further afield The children have access to the outdoor area, youth hangout and sports hall.
The Holiday Club runs from 9:00am – 5:00pm.
